Pillars and Posters

We design a lot of posters at the studio, with all kinds of ideas to promote. Some of these are part of much larger projects or ongoing campaigns, and some are for one-off happenings, great and small.

The materiality of the poster often plays a role in their delivery of an idea, whether featuring specialist inks — such as glow-in-the-dark, metallic or fluorescent — or being designed for digital or even photocopy reproduction.

As one of a number of international design studios, Pony was commissioned to produce a commemorative poster for the 20th Chaumont International Poster Festival, France 2009. We were the only UK/Irish-based designers in the prestigious selection, and our posters were pasted on all the poster-pillars around town.

In 2010, the Design Museum of Zurich acquired 14 of our posters for its permanent collection.
