Fundación Mapfre (Spanish edition)
RM (English edition)
Edited by Niall Sweeney (curator)

Published to accompany Fundación MAPFRE's touring exhibition ‘Eamonn Doyle’. Composed in three acts, each titled in Irish: Amach, meaning out, away, to go forth into the plain; Anseo, meaning here, in thins place, here now this instant; and Amach Anseo, the two words brought together, meaning in the future, the future here now, to literally bring the future, the distant outer reaches, to our present. This is the first publication to explore in full, and from the inside, Eamonn’s life and work. It’s a book about the fabric of time, about music & language, about collaboration & dancing in the labyrinth of the city, about love and loss and the electro-magnetic push & pull that acts upon all things. Through texts by musician David Donohoe, design historian Lisa Godson, filmaker Bob Quinn and the exhibition's curator & designer, Niall Sweeney, the book takes us from the streets of Dublin and Detroit, to the landscapes of Northern Africa and Spain, and to Connemara, on the wild Atlantic coast of Ireland.
